What Is WIC?

WIC is the nation’s most successful and cost-effective public health nutrition program. We provide wholesome food, nutrition education and community support for income-eligible women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum, and infants and children up to 5 years old.

All Caregivers Are Welcome!

We are here for more moms than you might think. We serve over half of all infants born in the United States. To get WIC assistance participants should be pregnant, breastfeeding or postpartum women, infants, and children up to age five. While we talk a lot about moms, be assured that we offer support for anyone who cares for a child, whether they are working or not. This includes moms, single fathers, grandparents, foster parents, step-parents, and guardians. If you receive benefits like foster care, Medicaid, or SNAP you already, qualify.
